Niagara Breastfeeding/ Lactation Support - In Person
We are happy to provide upcoming lactation in person support to the following Niagara Areas in January 2022: Welland, Niagara Falls, St. Catharines, Niagara on the Lake, Fonthill, Port Colborne, Lincoln, Wainfleet, Grimsby, Fort Erie & Beamsville.
Pop-up Breastfeeding / Lactation / Pumping Local Support
Receive in-person breastfeeding, lactation and/or pumping support for a reduced rate. To become an IBCLC, Dr. Ashton is required to have provided 500 clinical hours under the supervision of her IBCLC mentors. Each week Dr. Ashton will post a location and times where she will be available in person to support your lactation goals. Please select a time slot, as walk-ins cannot be guaranteed a space. As Niagara Region Public Health has not resumed in-person baby well clinics, these appointments will be in high demand.
Home Visits
The ideal time to schedule a visit is during the 3 to 7 days postpartum period. Weight check, breastfeeding / lactation / pumping assessment can be made during the 50 minute visit.
Pop-up Hospital Pump 45 Min Session
Held during the pop-up sessions, you will have the option to use the Medela Symphony, Ameda Platinum or Ameda Elite at a reduced rate. You will be provided a private space to pump, but will need to bring your own pump kit. You may want to reserve your time online to ensure you get the pump you require. Please note not all pop-up locations will have running water, something that exclusive pumpers face all the time... pumping on the go! Pump wipes and baby wipes will be provided. You should clean all your pump parts prior to following use. Max pump time 30 minutes.
